I'll be available for school visits (on Oahu, Hawaii only) or via Zoom in commemoration of Filipino American History Month! We'll discuss my book, The Angel of Santo Tomas ~ The Story of Fe del Mundo, and highlight the achievements of this remarkable Filipino humanitarian, including her work in serving American children and families detained in internment camps during WWII.
“A lovely and inspiring biography of a benevolent, innovative female Asian doctor.” - Kirkus Reviews

ABOUT FILIPINO AMERICAN HISTORY MONTH
Filipino American History Month has been recognized nationally since 2009 when Congress passed a resolution to commemorate the events, experiences, and lives of Filipino Americans and their impact on society. October was chosen since it marks the arrival of the first Filipinos who landed in what is now Morro Bay, California on October 18, 1587.
